About Garador Remote Controls

Your remote control may be branded with either a Garador or Hormann logo; both are compatible with each other. Garador remote controls are usually easily identified by the colour of the buttons on the remote control; earlier handsets will have either grey, or in some cases green buttons, whereas later models will have pale blue buttons. The more modern Garador operators were supplied in all black, with zinc end caps. All of our remote controls are supplied with a battery and programming instructions.

How do I determine the frequency of my remote control?

The frequency may be displayed on the back of the remote control with the model numbers, for example HSE2-868. Alternatively, the colour of the buttons can also be used to determine the frequency. Grey buttons indicate 40Mhz, blue or black buttons indicate 868Mhz.

My remote control has more/less buttons, why is this?

Each button can be coded individually - this is handy if you have more than one garage door or gate. 2-button and 4-button remote controls are interchangeable.
