Cardale Garage Door T-Handle Lock

Locking T-handle for Cardale garage doors, to fit door models including CD45, Compact, and other earlier models of door, usually manufactured pre-2000. The handle will also be suitable to fit some doors supplied by Wickes. The lock's square spindle has a drilled end, in order to secure the internal latch assembly to the locking handle from inside the door. The T-handle can be locked in the vertical and horizontal position to suit both clockwise and anti-clockwise turning handles.

The lock is supplied in a black finish, with 2 keys and the required fixing screws.

How can I be sure this is the correct lock for my door?

This door was commonly used on earlier garage doors manufactured by Cardale, but you may also see it on some doors by Wickes - who Cardale supplied garage doors for. The handle features a 'square' spindle, as opposed to a 'diamond' spindle more commonly found on other door manufacturers such as Henderson.

Can I get replacement keys instead of a new lock?

Unfortunately we are not able to supply replacement lock keys. For this type of lock, you must replace the lock & handle assembly.

How do I install this Cardale Garage Door T-handle Lock?

Firstly, disconnect the latching mechanism from the inside of your existing door handle. This will enable you to remove your existing lock, after removing the 2 fixing screws with a screwdriver.

Remove the T-handle from the outside of the door, and replace with your new Cardale Garage Door Lock. Fix in place with the supplied screws, and then re-attach the locking mechanism to the inside of the door handle. Ensure the handle turns correctly.
