Garador C-type Cables
Availability:
In StockA pair of cables to suit Garador C-type canopy doors manufactured between 1999-2002, with a side extension spring on each side of the door and vertical tracks. The door will have a cast bracket at the top corner of the door with a white nylon pulley angled at approximately 45 degrees.
Note: These cables are not suitable for use with old doors with concealed springs (Mk3F and F3C models manufactured pre-1999).

How can I identify these cables?
The Garador C-Type mechanism is identifiable by the side extension springs which have a wheel at the top. You have one spring either side of the door, and a pulley wheel in the top corner of the door.
Only one of my cables has broken, should I replace both?
When one cable has broken it is usually best to replace both sides, so that the door remains balanced, and the cables will be the exact same length on both sides of the door.

SAFETY NOTES:
The spring is under tension. Please follow instructions carefully to avoid injury.
Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
STEP 1
Open the door approximately 6" and place a block under it to keep it open.
STEP 2
Remove the e-clip (arrow 1) and slide the roller spindle towards the centre of the door (arrow 2).
STEP 3
Thread the large loop of cable over the plastic roller (arrow 3).
STEP 4
Slide the roller spindle back to its original position (arrow 4).
STEP 5
Refit the e-clip (arrow 5).
STEP 6
Ensure the cable is located in the grooved slot of the roller spindle (arrow 6).
STEP 7
Thread the opposite end of the cable through the spring assembly as shown in Fig 2. Then locate the spring back in the plastic guide channel.
STEP 8
Holding the mid loop of the cable, slide the spring up the guide channel until you can attach the mid loop to the S hook at the top of the track.
STEP 9
Fit the cable around the pulley wheel on the top corner bracket (refer to the opposite side of the door for location of cable).
STEP 10
Prop the door in the open position and refit the spring.
